Blue screen of death...?

The BOOTROM 8046 error indicates a serious issue with your 3DS. You should first make sure it is genuine.

1. Power off your device
2. Hold (Select)
3. Power on your device, still holding (Select)
4. Try the first three steps again, but with the (Home) button instead of (Select)

If you see the Luma3DS or fastboot3DS configuration menu, you were pranked and your device isn't actually bricked.
